RICE UNIVERSITY, Houston, Texas.

Senior Systems Analyst Increasing levels of responsibility for design, implementation and support of SCT’s Banner Payroll/HR system and related custom modifications. Assignments included Web interface for Payroll data, W-2, 1042 and tax reporting, upgrade testing and installation, custom payroll check design. Assisted in rollout and conversion of legacy system to client/server based system. Design, testing and implementation of web front end for financial reporting database. Promoted from Systems Analyst in January of 1999. June 1992 to May 2001.

THE MALT SHOW, Houston, Texas.

Writer, producer, director, host and editor of 23 half-hour episodes. Program shot on Hi-8, Digital 8 and Betacam camcorders, video edited on both analog and digital equipment. Output to BetacamSP format for broadcast. Created and maintained a companion website. 1997-1999.

M&H ENTERPRISES, Houston, Texas.

CAD Operator. Created a wide variety of drawings including P&ID's, PFD's, illustrations, tables, and maps for technical manuals. December 1988 to May 1992. (Part Time)

BANANA REPUBLIC, Houston, Texas.

Assistant Store Manager. Promoted from sales force to management after six months. Supervised between 8 and 25 employees in a customer service oriented environment. Provided employee communications for store meetings. November 1985 to August 1988.

HOBBIES

Graphic Design: Produced promotional materials for 3 major homebrew competitions, including print, t-shirt and website graphics. Involved in publication design for over 20 years with various periodicals.

Homebrewing: Currently serving as president of the largest club in Houston.

Writing: I am a feature and column writer for the Southwest Brewing News, feature and my photographs were recently published nationally in Zymurgy.

Commercial aviation: Commercial pilot, Multi-engine and IFR ratings, Line Oriented Flight Training. I have followed industry trends for over 30 years through trade publications.

I also enjoy traveling and rollercoasters.
